NFL Seeks Footage of Josh Jacobs’ Assault: Will They Finally Get it Right?
Can the NFL really get it right this time? In a shocking twist, the NFL has reportedly requested video footage of Josh Jacobs' alleged assault, which could lead to a lengthy suspension. Jacobs, 28, has been on the commissioner's exempt list since August, unable to practice or play for the Green Bay Packers. But with a judge denying the victim's request to seal the video, the door is open for the NFL to make a move. The league is hoping to avoid another Ray Rice situation, where a player was initially suspended for just two games before a damning video surfaced. If the NFL gets its hands on the footage, Jacobs could face a suspension of at least six games, as commissioner Roger Goodell implemented new policies in the wake of Rice's scandal. With Jacobs already serving two weeks on the exempt list, the clock is ticking. Will the NFL finally get it right and take a strong stance against domestic violence?
