How far would someone go over a debt? In a shocking incident, James Blackwell, 25, has been indicted by a Mahoning County grand jury after allegedly dragging a woman and her young child from their car over unpaid money. Reports describe a harrowing chase where Blackwell demanded payment, threatening to kill the woman and even her child if she didn’t comply. Things escalated dramatically when he reportedly choked the woman until she passed out, then flattened her tires with a knife. Astonishingly, he then forced the unconscious woman and her child into his own car. The resourceful victim managed to escape with her child at her sister’s house, immediately alerting the police. Blackwell, already out on bond for a previous gun charge, was later apprehended and found with a knife. Despite facing severe felony counts, including two counts of kidnapping and aggravated robbery, Blackwell audaciously requested a reasonable bond in court, citing his impending fatherhood. He is now held on a hefty $120,000 bond, highlighting the grave nature of these allegations.
