Padres Win Without Star Closer Mason Miller! But Will He Return for Game 4?
With 1 in 8 new fathers experiencing anxiety after the birth of their child, the San Diego Padres have found themselves in a unique situation as they try to advance in the NLDS without their star closer, Mason Miller, who's on the paternity list. Miller's wife went into labor on Tuesday, forcing him to miss Game 3, but he's eligible to return for Game 4. The Padres have managed to win without him, but the series is still on the brink of elimination. Miller is one of baseball's best closers, with a career-high 38 saves this season, but his family's health takes priority. Will he be ready to return to the mound when it counts most?
