Tillis Exposes Trump’s Biggest Regret – 30 GOP Colleagues Who Turned a Blind Eye
Can you imagine a politician voting for a defense secretary despite being aware of allegations against them, only to later regret that decision? Senator Thom Tillis did just that, calling his vote for Pete Hegseth the "biggest regret of my career" in his new book. In it, he also criticizes former President Donald Trump's policies, including tariffs, immigration raids, and the Iran war. Tillis even goes so far as to predict a "bloodbath" for Republicans in the midterm elections. With his departure from office looming, Tillis joins a long list of Republicans who have ratcheted up their public denunciations of Trump once they had less to lose politically. He warns of a slippery slope toward authoritarianism and urges his colleagues to "wake up" and push back on Trump more often. But will it be too little, too late?
