WILD COMEBACK: Valkyries Stun Wings with 16-Point Comeback in Thrilling WNBA Playoffs Game
In a stunning comeback, the Golden State Valkyries erased a 16-point deficit to defeat the Dallas Wings 77-73 in the first round of the WNBA playoffs, marking their first-ever playoff series win in franchise history. The Valkyries will face the Las Vegas Aces in the semifinals after the Aces edged out the Indiana Fever. Arike Ogunbowale's 30-point performance was nearly enough to lift the Wings to victory, but the Valkyries' Gabby Williams and Veronica Burton played key roles in the comeback. Meanwhile, head coach Natalie Nakase collapsed on the sideline in the final minutes, but recovered in time to draw up plays for her team. As the Valkyries celebrate their historic win, fans are left wondering what's next for this young team.
